Lions - The World's Largest Service Club Organization

Our 46,000 clubs and 1.4+ million members make us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities.

Everywhere we work we make friends; with children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don't have enough to eat, and with people we may never meet.

Clubs in District 19G are in western Washington State from Clearwater-Kalaloch, then south along the coast, then east, covering southwest Washington as far east as Lyle, Washington.

District Governor DOUG HARVEY
ROAR WITH GUSTO
2020-2021

Welcome to our 103rd Lions Year!!

As reported in my newsletter, my theme for this year (and beyond) is “Roar with Gusto!” so wherever I go, I will be expecting to hear and see Lions enthusiastically greet me and I’ll do the same in return. Or maybe I will do it first! (so be ready!)

As my late great uncle Paul would say on the radio: “You’ve heard the news… standby for the rest of the story.” Now, with my newsletter out, I am going to share with you my thoughts about this year’s District G goals and aspirations.

2020-2021 District Goals

:2020-2021 District G Goals: Foremost for this year is to support growth and development of clubs in the district which includes all members as “ALL MEMBERS COUNT”!

How do we do this? An LCI supported program we prefer to identify as a Club Rejuvenation Pilot Project is known as “North American Membership Initiative”. The Global Leadership Team members have been meeting since April of 2020 preparing a program that provides support and opportunity to clubs who wish to become stronger in their service, improve leadership skills and increase membership.

Additionally, the District Extension Chair, Jim Terrell, is poised to assist clubs who wish to sponsor new clubs. For more information please contact Jim at (360) 606-4408 or reach him via e-mail: jimbo.olguy@gmail.com Does your club wish to grow? This great team of Lions can help! Call them!
